Congratulations to Rick Meade and Scott Wright for their recent appointments to State and National Committees!

Rick Meade, Calvary’s Executive Director, was recently appointed to the “Ohio Cemetery Dispute and Resolution Commission (OCDRC)”  This is an appointment by Gov. DeWine with his term ending in 2023.  In this capacity Rick will serve the State of Ohio by assisting the commission in their task of bringing resolution to cemetery related complaints throughout the state.  This commission meets regularly throughout the year in Columbus.

Scott Wright, Calvary’s Outreach Director, was recently appointed to the National Catholic Cemetery Conference’s (CCC) “Committee on the Future.”  According to the CCC, the purpose of the COF is: “examine Conference priorities, focus energy and resources toward needed tasks, and, strengthen Conference operations.  The COF also will make recommendations to the Board on emerging issues and social changes that may or do impact the ministry and mission of Catholic cemeteries and affiliated funeral services.”  Scott’s term on the COF with the CCC expires in 2023.

The Board of Trustees and Staff of Calvary would like to offer congratulations to both Rick and Scott for their continued service to both Calvary Cemetery and the larger cemetery community throughout the nation.
